Many cellular carriers allowed sending text messages to email addresses in the past, but are discontinuing this.
Since it's a useful feature for those avoiding smartphones, we've built our own service for this, which allows you to send text messages directly to email addresses and receive email replies as texts on
any Sunbeam Wireless phone that supports texting.
⭐ Premium Subscription Required: This feature is available exclusively to Sunbeam phones with a Premium Subscription.
Note that you may still be able to send messages without the subscription using your carrier's service directly, but this will be dependent on your carrier's current relay availability and policies, and your address will change if you switch carriers.
⚙️ How to Enable: Open your Messaging app, press Menu, select Settings, and toggle on the Enable Mail Relay switch. Once enabled, all text messages sent to an email address will be delivered using the Sunbeam relay if you have a Premium Subscription.

For your privacy and to prevent spam, only people you've messaged first can send emails as text messages to your phone. If you no longer want to receive messages from someone, reply STOP to block them.
Your assigned address (your phone number)@textmysunbeam.com is yours to keep as long as you own that cellular number. It works the same even if you switch cellular carriers, regardless of their capabilities or policies.
Not for Emergency Use: This service is not intended for emergency communications. Do not rely on this service to send or receive time-sensitive or emergency messages. If you have an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency services directly.
No Delivery Guarantee: All message delivery attempts are made on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed. Message delivery may be affected by network restrictions, carrier limitations, spam filters, recipient block lists, email provider policies, and other factors beyond our control. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the successful delivery of any message.
Service Availability: This service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
Applicability: Your usage of this service constitutes your agreement to our terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use this service.
No Data Collection: We do not collect, store, sell, or use any personal information for any purpose whatsoever. Your messages are not stored on our servers beyond what is required to complete delivery.
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, or provide any user data to third parties for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose.
No Tracking: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any other technologies to monitor your behavior or build user profiles.
Message Content: Message content passes through our relay system only for the purpose of delivery. We do not read or analyze the content of your messages except to automatically format the text for delivery to the intended recipient.
